Privacy policy

1. Who we are

Petticora ("we", "us", "our") operates petticora.co.uk — a UK wedding planning platform. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this site. Questions about this policy can be sent to privacy@petticora.co.uk.

2. What data we collect

We collect the information you provide when you register (name, email address, wedding date, region, and guest count), data you enter into planning tools (shortlists, guest list, budget, seating, checklist, and timeline), enquiries you send to suppliers, and technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to provide and improve the Petticora service, personalise supplier and venue recommendations, allow you to contact suppliers through the platform, send you service emails (account confirmations, replies to enquiries), and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your data for automated decision-making that produces legal effects.

4. Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. When you send an enquiry to a supplier or venue, we share the content of that message and your contact details with the relevant business so they can respond. We use trusted third-party processors (including Supabase for data storage, Stripe for payments, and Resend for email) under data processing agreements. We may disclose data if required by law.

5. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. We may also use analytics cookies (e.g. to understand how pages are used). You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. A full cookie notice will appear on your first visit.

6. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, billing records).

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, restrict or object to processing, and data portability. To exercise any right, email privacy@petticora.co.uk. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO (ico.org.uk).

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will notify you by email or by a notice on the site. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
